Landtec SEM5000 Portable Methane Monitor Rental

The Landtec SEM5000 measures methane concentrations for applications such as landfill surface emissions monitoring, leakage surveys of natural gas networks, control pinpointing outside buildings, quantifying methane fluxes, and laboratory applications for gas analysis.

The patented Laser technology allows the instrument measure methane exclusively, even in the presence of other gases or hydrocarbons.  The monitor has a measurement range from 0.5 ppm to 100% methane concentration.  The laser technology provides exceptional response times with a T90 of 2.5 seconds (3.5 seconds with probe).

For data collection, the meter can hold up to 480 hours of scan data.  During a scan event, the SEM5000 automatically saves a reading every second and records the date, time, GPS coordinates and methane concentration.  Save intervals and the auto-save function are configurable.

The user-friendly SEMsoft software package provides multiple reporting options. It auto-populates standard Background, Precision and Instrument Response Time reports. Scan data is reported in an easy-to-use CSV format. SEMsoft also provides options for individual exceedance reports. SEMsoft also allows you to upload site maps, for recording and accessing historical scan data specific to your site. Scan paths and color-coded event points can be layered on top of your site map, allowing you to monitor potential problem areas.
