SciAps X-550 XRF Analyzer Rental - Lead Paint, Soil, and RoHS Apps

The SciAps X-550 is an ultra-lightweight, high-performance X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer designed specifically for the demanding conditions of the mining, geochemical, and environmental testing industries. Engineered with a tapered, ergonomic design, it’s built for comfort during extended field use without compromising durability.

Powered by a miniaturized 50kV gold (Au) X-ray tube and a 25mm² silicon drift detector (SDD) offering high resolution (135 eV at 5.95 Mn Kα) and fast count rates (250k cps at >90% live time), the X-550 delivers fast, accurate elemental analysis of soils and other non-alloy materials.

Ideal for in-field soil analysis, the dedicated Soil Mode utilizes three separate beam settings to achieve ultra-low detection limits from phosphorus (P) to lead (Pb). This includes coverage of all 8 RCRA metals and 12 of the 13 EPA Priority Pollutant Metals (excluding beryllium).

HUD Lead Paint App

May be operated in two Apps. One is the PCS App, for automatic testing fully in compliance with the PCS. In this setup the analyzer automatically terminates
testing as soon as the lead level is above or below the Action Level (usually 1.0 mg/cm2) with 95% confidence. The unit also features an OSHA/IH App for
precision-based test times designed for industrial type compliance testing where operators want to measure the presence of any detectable lead. The lead limit of
detection is typically 0.01 mg/ cm2

RoHS App

The RoHS App offers rapid screening for various products for compliance testing for the directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in
electrical and electronic equipment.
