The Draeger Accuro Hand Pump is used in conjunction with Draeger Tubes to detect specific gases and vapors. Draeger Tubes are glass vials that are filled with a chemical reagent that reacts to a certain chemical. If the chemical(s) in question is present the reagent in the tube changes color. The measured concentration is typically indicated by the length of the color change.
