Proactive's Mobile Battery Power Pak is a compact, durable, and portable 12-volt system specifically designed for Proactive's complete pump line. These self-contained, rechargeable 12-volt system provides an excellent alternative to using a vehicle battery as the pump's power source.
Why is Proactive's Mobile Battery Power Pak better than a car battery?
A car battery's power rating is measured in Cold Cranking Amps. The definition of the Cold-Cranking Amperage (CCA) of a car battery is the amount of current a given battery can deliver for 30 seconds at zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit without dropping below a specified cutoff voltage (usually 10.5 volts). By design, a car battery will deliver a high current for a short period of time, like starting a car, for example. Conversely, a car battery can only supply a small amount of current (amps) over a longer period of time. Of further consideration is the fact that a car battery is not engineered to be fully discharged. Fully, or even partially, discharging and recharging a car battery only a few times will result in battery failure. Lastly, a car battery provides no visual means to determine the voltage output. Considering these limitations, a car battery becomes a poor choice of power source to provide for consistent pumping rates over a long period of time. In most applications, a car battery will not meet the power requirements of 12-volt sampling pumps.

Simply connect a Proactive pump directly to the cigarette lighter adapter or attach the pump's battery clamps to the terminals on the Mobile Battery Power Pak. When using the battery terminal option, the user can turn the power to the pump on or off using the convenient on/off switch.
