| Applications |
CEL-231
The CEL-231 Digital Sound Survey Meter will appeal to everyone new to noise measurement as it is simple to use and understand.
It is suitable for spot checks around work areas as it provides readings in dB(A) the measurement criteria that most closely represents the way human hearing reacts to noise levels.
CEL-254
The CEL-254 Digital Impulse Sound Level Meter has additional functions including the "C" frequency weighting, an impulse time weighting and a maximum hold feature.
Maximum hold will detect the highest level of noise and hold this on the screen.
| Most suitable for steady noise levels |
Suitable for steady and fluctuating noise levels |
| Constant noise or step-change levels with very little variation |
Impulsive noise or levels with minor variations over time |
| The range of functions for each model is given in the tables below.

| Ordering Information
Kits are available that include all of the equipment necessary to carry out an effective noise assessment. These include the specified sound level meter, a CEL-282 Class 2 Calibrator, CEL-4672 Wind/Dust microphone cover, operating instructions and CEL-5894 carrying case. Kits can be specified by adding /K1 after the instrument description e.g. CEL-254/K1. |
